The Takoyaki *bow*

The best Takoyaki for me are the ones from Moshi Moshi in Katipunan (will post photo *update* on this entry when I get the chance to grab some balls there again). And the closest I can get to these Moshi Moshi takoyaki balls are the ones from Musashi in Mall of Asia. Mej mahirap to find but it is along the walkway between the main mall and the department store.

Yummy! Musashi takoyaki, P50/4pcs

I still crave for Moshi Moshi takoyaki kasi it is cheaper at P90/10pcs and it has more toppings a.k.a moving creatures just kidding I'm not sure what the flakes were but it smells more like tinapa. Size, quality and taste-wise, A OK the both!

Musashi takoyaki's are available at MOA complex and Harrison Plaza.

A quick Santorini escape

Last Saturday, I decided to sneak out of Papa's birthday party and headed to P. Noval to have a quick Santorini escape with my loveydovey. Yes, we are that excited that we can't set it to another day other than yesterday!

So here goes.. Santorini is somewhere along P. Noval. It is a one-way road going to Espana so if you are from Dangwa, turn right to Dapitan then U-turn then right to P. Noval. Ayos, navigation pro! Trololol. I had a hard time spotting Santorini because it is small (a hole in the wall), the signage is small also, and lastly, the shops are so crowded (dikit-dikit). I find Santorini such a cute place to dine. It is full of K-pop posters and letters, the channel in the television is Korean, and the place looks so Korean (haha I've watched a couple of Korean dramas and saw how Korean restos look like!). There were only 6-7 tables and all can seat only 4 people.

I craved for Bibimbap.

And he felt like having Korean ramen

I liked the Bibimbap a lot. Though I found the ramen too spicy! As in sipon levels! The ramen had rice cakes, it was my first time to ever ingest a rice cake. It tastes good, galapong texture but it is not sweet. I'm not sure if it is flavored or what or the rice cake had salty taste because they were dipped in the ramen soup for too long. Basta it is good. Chewy goodness!

To cap off the Korean dining experience is a Korean ice cream I sooo love. Samanco! Red bean! Happy!

This Samanco red bean paste ice cream sandwich is just too good! I love monggo! Hahaha!

I took photos of the menu for everyone. Enjoy!

Waxing 101: waxing salons around the Metro

Sooo... after the love month I was kind of skeptical.. After the lovey-dovey motel day of the year, have you waxed? I mean, are you comfortable showing off your bush? I really find it odd to have hair growing everywhere! I don't like hair, but since I don't have the budget for an IPL hair removal treatment I resort to waxing. I savour the pain! Hahaha. Here are a few waxing salons I tried in the past year/s:

For underarm: I have tried Laybare and Wink (BGC). Laybare services are very affordable compared to other waxing salons. Their underarm waxing only costs less than 200. But you get what you pay for: cubicles divided only by a thin piece of wood, curtains as doors (yes anyone can easily peek inside the room cubicle), an uncleaned bed with a few hair still lingering on the sheet eek! well you can always ask the therapist to change the linen or at least the towel atop it. I still prefer Laybare for my underarm waxing because it's cheap and I like the results and the length of time before I see hair growing again. As for Wink, the prices are still reasonable,  bit higher than Laybare but as I've said, you get what you pay for: this time bigger cubicles- about 4x bigger than Laybare, a sheet of lengthy paper to cover the bed atop the linen and a cleaner, more vibrant environment. The interior of Wink is just beautiful. Comparing the results of Laybare and Wink underarm waxing: I'd go for Laybare.

For brazilian and bikini: I only trust Strip Manila (G5) for my brazilian waxing. They're just awesome. The place is awesome, hip. The service is awesome, fast at 15mins, less painful and hygienic. The Striperellas are awesome too. After waxing results are awesome as well. For brazilian waxing, go to Strip! I've tried Pink Parlour (SM North) and the service is really bad. The result is quite good though I noticed how fast the hair grew back, so quite bad din. Haha! I tried Laybare bikini and service is ok, so-so, but result was better than Pink Parlour.

FYI:
- Pre waxing: for underarm, don't use deo pre-treatment. If sensitive to pain, take pain reliever 30 mins before waxing.
-Post waxing: Do not wet the area. Do not use hot water on waxed areas. Exfoliate 2 days post-waxing.

So there, hope this helped!

Blessed be Life in Mania!

Hahaha trololol at the title. But I didn't want my first post to be about shopping nor food nor travel. I wanted it to be like a fore-message. Gumaganon?

I can't really maintain a blog. I started a few times before but ended just as soon. But it feels different this time. I know this will go somewhere...errr hope not in the trash! Hahaha!

I wanted Life in Mania to have a broad aspect. I want it to be like an open diary of a Maniac Kid. How much she spends on shoes. Or on clothes. Shopping adventures. Or her food adventures. Or her travels. I want no boundaries, in short. Yeaaaa just like a mania!

I will try to post as often as possible. Weekly, perhaps? Haha tamad! Since I find this blog really cute with a Mental Hospital-feel, I'd really give it a try. Tengena, I need to get some sleep already. This is turning into crap na. Hahaha. See you soon on my first and real official post! Ano daw?!
